Why you should become a member of Came Down Golf Club

Imagine this… with the sun on your face and wind blowing through your hair, you feel excited to swing a club on one of the most picturesque courses in Dorset. You gaze at the rolling green hills and breath-taking sea views in awe. Your eye catches a deer galloping in the distance.

Today you’re going to beat your personal best, maybe even win against your partner.

You grin as your club glints in the light… game on!

You are stood on a large, well-tended 18-hole downland course with a rich history and inviting community, nestled between Weymouth and Dorchester. Welcome to Came Down Golf Club.

Playing golf has endless benefits. It’s fantastic exercise (you can certainly get your steps in!), it’s a great way to socialise and make new friends and it improves mood whilst reducing stress and anxiety. Why not flex your networking skills by going golfing with colleagues, your boss or make new business relationships while you’re here? Golf is also fun to enjoy with all the family - you can get the kids into a sport, whilst spending precious time with them. We have equipment suited for both kids and adults.

Don’t worry if you’re completely new to golf because we offer coaching with PGA professionals through our Academy. Academy membership includes 10 golf lessons per year with a PGA Professional and a 25% discount on your first year's subscription when transferring to full club membership. Start by having an hour-long induction to learn a few basics and see if golf is for you. Our PGA Professionals, Nick and Sean, make learning to play golf fun and allow players to develop at their own pace so you’d be in good hands!
